The Gleize Bridge Over the Vigueirat Canal- Van Gogh

I chose this painting, The Gleize Bridge Over the Vigueirat Canal, by Van Gogh because I really liked how every aspect of it is particular in its detail. For instance, the bushes and the water in the canal have a sense that it is windy outside, the clouds look as if they are really moving, and you can even see the reflection of the women in the water. I also thought it was interesting to see how in those days, women would wash their clothes in the stream. The colors of the sky are very soothing to me and I felt that this is a rare work by Van Gogh that was bright and colorful rather than dark and gloomy.
