Paul Cezanne was considered the Father of Modern Art because of his innovative approach to art. With his new style, he inspired the generations immediately after him. Cezanne is said to have created the bridge between late 19th century Impressionism and the early 20th century's new line of artistic inquiry, Cubism. With this new radical approach to art, we see something different, yet visually pleasing to the eyes. It looks complex because the Cezanne plays with the idea of both pictures, but manages to merge the model with the environment, by blurring the distinctions between the background and foreground.
