Paul Cezanne is said to be the father of modern art because he did not follow the crowd. It is said he bridged a gap between the 19th century and 20th century. I chose this photo because it was striking to me. It is one of four. This art work is called The four seasons- spring. There is a piece of art for each season. The color of her dress is what first caught my eye. I actually thought the vine of flowers she is holding was a part of of her dress but its not she is just holding it up to her. The colors of this art work are very beautiful.  Out of all four art works, spring had the most vibrant colors. The color of her dress is a solid and bold which is different which is why is stood out
