Madame Matisse 1913

I genuinely love this piece of artwork because this was one of the many that stood out to me. I enjoyed looking through his work because, as we saw with Fauvism, it was a different piece of art. It's radicalism allows it stand out, the goal was to separate color from its representational purpose and allowing it to act as an independent element on canvas. The different colors brings your attention and focus to the artwork because it is so sharp and saturated.
