Paul Cézanne

Cézanne is said to be the father of modern art or "Father of us all" Comments both made by Picasso and Matisse. It is said that he formed the bridge between Impressionism and Cubism. A lot of his work was rejected numerous times but yet was considered master. He created many paintings in his lie and is also in the top five for highest paintings every sold, after his painting "The Card Player" sold for $276+ million dollars in April 2011. All these things show that he deserves to be called the father of modern art.
