Henry Matisse

Henry Matisse was an artist during the first half of the twentieth century, who is mainly credited for his work in Fauvism, a movement prior to Cubism. He was even called a leader of this movement by his peers. Many of his work was known for his use of bright, vibrant colors, and also his development of a very free style of painting.
