I picked this photo by Matisse because the striking colors caught my eyes. How he blended and made every color fit together is very beautiful. This art work is so vibrant and full of life. The woman in the picture is his wife. Maybe the vibrant colors describes their relationship or the feelings that he had for her. Also the strokes of the painting are very large and have no real order so this could also be a representation of their love.
