Wassily Kandinsky

Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian Painter who was a pioneer during the abstract art movement. He believed that total abstraction offered the possibility for profound, transcendental expression and that copying from nature only interfered with this process. Kandinsky also viewed abstract art which had no direct objective as the ideal visual mode to express the "inner necessity" of the artist and to convey universal human emotions and ideas.I particularly liked this movement and this piece with its relation to human emotions, because I believe just like the abstract art, emotions are difficult to explain.
