  1. The Rain Room seems to be a surreal experience that many have fascinated about. I was intrigued by how conservative the Rain Room in LACMA was towards the water because drought conditions in California are a major concern. It was also amazing to see that you stay completely dry because this installation detects the human body. To be able to be surrounded by downpour and stay dry is almost as if it is literally an out of body experience. This is the first time I have ever heard of the Rain Room and I can only imagine how sensational the experience must be.

  2. The Rain Room appears to be a magical experience for visitors.
One of the many reasons I appreciate this installation is because it allows you to immerse and engage yourself into the artist's work instead of just being presented with a painting or photograph. I feel as if The Rain Room gives you control over the impossible. The idea of walking into the pouring rain without getting wet astonishes me. I think those that visit will have a memorable experience like no other.

  4. The Rain Room looks like a very unique experience. It's something you don't typically see in a museum. I feel that people enjoy this installation maybe more than others because it is interactive rather than standing and looking at a painting. I like how the exhibit reuses the water considering the droughts that typically take place in California. I would love to visit the Rain Room because it feels like it would be a fascinating experience.

  5. I would love to experience standing in the pouring rain without getting wet, which is why this installation seems so astonishing to me. I appreciate and recognize the work the artist must've put into this installation. The rain is something very relaxing and de-stressing for many people and I think that is why this installation is so popular. The fact that the water is reused also makes the Rain Room that much better. I hope to one day see this installation in action.

  6. The rain room is an interesting idea, but personally I don't know if I would go out and buy a ticket to see this exhibit. Whenever it rains it typically puts me into a lazy mood so watching a room that is constantly raining could possibly put me to sleep. I would rather go see a lighting room or something that would be a little more interesting, but I could see how people would see this as a "relaxing" experience.

  7. The Rain room looks like an interesting experience, in that its something your choosing to enter rather than walking outside and being upset that its raining and your going to get wet. I think because of this maybe it would allow someone to look at rain from a different perspective? This to me seems like a cool piece of work, but i don't think i would visit this piece. The fact that it is recycled water kinda creeps me out, and i am sure its not filtered to bathing or drinking standards.

  8. The rain room exhibit seems to be very intriguing due to its placement in California where they expericence occasional droughts year round. The fact that you can walk into the room without getting wet is almost a metaphor for California due to the fact that California is the most coastal state in the United States however cannot attain the water they need for there citizens.

  9. The rain room looks like a very relaxing and eye opening experience. Although it is something I usually wouldn't think twice about doing, I definitely have something telling me I would enjoy it. The way it works and how you never get wet really interest me

  10. The rain room appears to be an extraordinary installation because it is something that you don’t see everyday. I found it very interesting how the installation recycles the same water throughout the entire time the exhibit is standing for. I was also surprised to read how the average American family of four uses 400 gallons of water a day and the installation uses 528 gallons - which represents how eco-friendly and environmentally aware the artist is about the amount of water being used. It seems like the installation would be a good exhibit to visit one day.
